Chairholder
Anne Bourbonnais, RN, PhD, is a Professor at the Faculty of Nursing of the Université de Montréal and a researcher at the Research Centre of the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal. She is the Chairholder of the Research Chair in Nursing Care for Older People and their Families since June 2015. In June 2020, she was appointed a Canada Research Chair in Care for Older People for a five-year term. She is also a member of the Quebec Nursing Intervention Research Network (RRISIQ), the Quebec Network for Research on Aging (RQRV) and the Réseau québécois de recherche en soins palliatifs et de fin de vie (RQSPAL).
With a clinical experience in nursing and a keen interest in the care of older people, she has chosen to keep on contributing to the quality of life of older people by developing knowledge through research. Dr. Bourbonnais’s expertise focuses on aging and the care of older people in all types of healthcare settings. She is particularly interested in older people living with Alzheimer’s or associated diseases as well as in their caregivers and healthcare professionals.
