The Chair was well represented at the recent Canadian Association on Gerontology (CAG) conference held in Toronto from October 26 to 28 2023, where two posters were presented.

Ms. Isabelle Auclair, a doctoral student, presented part of her doctoral project:

  • The inclusion of informal caregivers in the palliative and end-of-life care of older adults: Results from a scoping review. (Auclair, I., Bourbonnais, A.). View the poster.

Ms. Cecilia Leon Palomino, also a doctoral student, presented as research professional for a project of Anne Bourbonnais:

  • Apathy in older people living with a major neurocognitive disorder in long-term care homes: A scoping review (Palomino, C., Bourbonnais, A., Maheu-Cadotte, M-A., Daneau, S., Ramirez-Garcia, P., Rey, S., Soulières, M., Mailhot, T., Fillion, L., Létourneau, D). View the poster.

The theme of the CAG conference, "Engaging the community, in education, research and the clinic", reflects the level of commitment of these two students to the development and dissemination of nursing knowledge.

The Chair team is proud to have them in our ranks!

Congratulations!
