The documentary “Derrière la porte d'un proche aidant” (Behind the door of a family caregiver), recently broadcast on Radio-Canada, presents the profile of family caregivers. Their testimonies, as well as those of stakeholders and experts regarding family caregiving, describe the issues related to this reality. They also emphasize the importance of recognizing this role and offering adequate services to support them, to help older people or people with neurodegeneration to stay at home, a wish expressed by the majority of them.
